I thought I would write out and explain how Fetes de Fleurs works and what our plans are for 2019 ahead. I am really very excited about the future of our little business and hope to bring on as many women as we can in the year ahead. I started Fetes de Fleurs for 1 reason and that reason has not changed in the past 1 1/2 years that I have been doing this at nights and weekends.

What is Fetes de Fleurs?

We are a flower party business. Fetes de Fleurs is FRENCH-ish for "Flower Parties." I moved to Charleston, SC from Boston, MA 1 1/2 years ago. I have always been entrepreneurial and have always wanted to start a business. The timing was right so I went for it. We host flower crown parties for celebrations like bachelorette parties, baby and bridal showers, events, birthdays, etc. We go to the location of the party and setup a flower crown bar with all the supplies to make flower crowns. Then we teach the group how to make flower crowns over some rose usually. 

How did you get the idea for this?

I took Flower Classes in Boston for a while. Fun fact, I made a flower crown for Halloween that October before I even knew that I would be moving to Charleston, SC and even had the idea for this business. Life is a trip and you never know where it will take you. It is funny to look back on facebook memories and see all the little signs and moments that led me here to Fetes de Fleurs. All those flower classes that I took, the flower crowns that I made (not knowing this would become what it is or even having created it yet) all brought me to this moment and to this business.

What cities are you in right now?

• Charleston, Sc- we have 3 employees: myself, Molly, and Toni.
• Boston
• The Hamptons
• Austin
• New Orleans

What cities do you want to expand to?

There are definite cities on my wish list and those include places like Miami, Nashville, Palm Springs, LA, Vegas, etc. I want to have a presence and host flower crown parties in every city where bachelorette parties are. I would like to be in any major city that has a lot of bachelorette parties. I am open to other cities and locations but there are ones that I want to focus in growing into ASAP as we hit the ground running in 2019.

What do you do as a flower party host?

• You host flower crown parties at people's airbnbs, hotel rooms, and houses.
• You work with me on marketing. We blog to create awareness.
• You work on Instagram with me and facebook.
• We teach you everything you have to know to do these parties. You don't need to know how to do anything with flowers to be a fit for this. BUT, you do have to have a yearning to learn and work with flowers.

Who is a good fit for being a flower party host?

Someone who is entrepreneurial, wants to have a side hustle and make money. Someone who can work on the weekends and at night because most of our parties are on weekends and some week nights. You should be a creative person who is outgoing and able to work a crowd. You would be hosting parties so you need to be someone who enjoys flowers, enjoys being around women, good at explaining and teaching how to do this.
