How to Make a Flower Crown Series: The Easier option with the circular flower crown base

There are a few different ways to make flower crowns. For our bachelorette flower crown parties we tend to keep it simple so the bride tribe doesn't have to think too much and can party on/drink their rose. :) WINK WINK.

For bachelorette flower crown parties we like to use the 2 floral wire method for making a flower crown. Here is what you need and I will be adding in some quick video tutorials on how to make a flower crown base by using 2 floral wires and some floral tape. (Once I shower and do my hair and makeup).

We are going to start this series on how to make flower crowns so you can get an inside look on the options you have for making flower crowns. It will also give you insight into how the flower crown parties work too!

This first option for making flower crowns is the closed up circular base option. This means we will start with a circular flower crown base then add on the greenery and flowers.

This is the one we use for our flower crown workshops because it tends to be the easiest and there is no lace or ribbon needed. I tend to use the ribbon and lace closure method when I am doing kids parties, corporate events, or making crowns for flower girls.

SUPPLIES needed for the circular flower crown base:

  • Floral wire
  • Floral tape

You will take the 2 floral wire pieces and you want to cross them over to start to wrap the 2 onto each other to create the base of your flower crown. Do that in the front and the back to create a circle that will fit on your head. You want to close up the ends and leave about an inch of space in between your head and the crown base so you have room to put flowers and greenery on the flower crown base. Once you have finished that part you will take floral tape and wrap the whole flower crown base with floral tape so no more floral wire is showing.
