We were so excited to work with Belk for their corporate incentives trip to Isle of Palms a couple of weekends ago. Whenever a company reaches out to us here at Fetes de Fleurs we get really excited! A lot of our work is bachelorette parties so when we get the chance to do corporate events like this one we get pumped up!
We were asked to come out to Wild Dunes on Isle of Palms for the top sales reps from Belk Stores a couple weekends ago and we had a great time. The sales reps were able to pick from a couple of options for employee appreciation activities on their weekend in IOP. One of the options was with us for a gold hoop wreath workshop at Wild Dunes.
We were so excited to finally meet a fellow Charleston creative at the resort. When I walked in I met Charleston calligrapher, Danielle Fabrega. She is the lady behind what is called The Town Seriff. She was asked to come out and do a calligraphy class as one of the Belk sales reps employee appreciation activities as well. We setup our traditional flower market style setup on one of the tables outside in their main event area. What a beautiful setting. As the sales reps trickled in we got started teaching the basics of how to make a wreath in general. We were excited that Belk was down with doing gold hoop wreaths because they are more modern and fun!
We ended up doing the gold hoop wreath class from 10-12 on a Saturday morning. There were supposed to be about 8 people attending but it seems like some people slept in and we were lucky to have a small group! That meant that we could really concentrate and focus on the small group there and give extra attention and help along the way making the spring gold hoop wreaths.
We used so many cool and beautiful local flower options from some of our friends here who are flower farmers in the Charleston area. We are always so thankful when we can work with our flower farmer friends for our flowers at our flower workshops.
We loved how detailed this group was. They really wanted to learn the art of wreath making and that makes our day! When a group gets so into it and really wants to learn the art of flowers we really walk away appreciating what we do.
What a fun group of people and so happy that we were able to flower party with the Belk sales reps. We love doing corporate sales events and corporate incentive events.
